Simply Nutritious. Simply Delicious.
While writing the blog, I am bound to refer to important people in my life. Here is a bit of a cheat sheet to keep them straight.
Eric and I have been dating for almost 6 years now, and were friends for 2 years before that. We met in high school french class, my first day of high school. I was the bright eyed freshman and he was the fun upperclassman. We started dating my junior year of high school and his freshman year of college and have been together ever since. This summer, he proposed on the beach and I am happy to say that I have a fiance, not a boyfriend. He is still in Connecticut, pursing a degree in music education, so for now we are doing distance. Obviously I would like to see him more, but we are able to make it work. Eric is responsible for getting me into running this past summer and we enjoy going on trail runs together.
A feature of the UMD College Park Internship is that you do the rotations with a partner. Mine is Melissa, author of Eat on the Run. We spend 4 days a week together, so there are a lot of shenanigans as well as productivity that comes from our relationship. I will frequently refer to her as ‘my partner’ and should not be confused with Eric, ‘my fiance’, which is an ongoing joke with friends and family. Melissa and get along great and as a seasoned blogger and tweeter, I frequently seek her council on issues related to my online presence, in which she is most helpful. As a runner, she is also a nice buddy for long runs as my endurance improves.
